Wilhelm Adler was a judge in Bruenn, the capital of Moravia
. His first wife Hermine B. Beran died soon after giving birth to his daughter Elizabeth. Left with a baby and a ten years old son, Hugo, Wilhelm soon married
again. His second wife , born Tutsch, raised the children till adulthood. She
died before Wilhelm, who died in 1929
